So, I got this pair of new Timberland boots, the classic ones, yellow-nubuck leather and some candle wax got spilled on it and it’s hard to get it clean. Advice?
Freeze them and lightly scrape with a butter knife or like object. The commercially available concoctions will only turn that wax to goo causing a worse mess than you already have.
I used to freeze my tar cloths on Friday and beat them with a hammer on Sunday, tar came right off. Wax is the same thing, so is chewing gum. Freeze and scrape, it’ll come right out. Any residual stain can be removed with commercially available stain removers.
